Teamwork After a Tornado

On the night of June 22, 2016 at 10:06 PM, an EF-2 tornado touched down just outside of Pontiac, IL and proceeded to rip an 11 mile path approximately four football fields wide straight through the town. Wind speeds were estimated between 115-125 mph. Several people were injured and dozens of buildings flattened. Located less than a mile outside of the path of destruction is the town’s tallest building – a seven-story assisted living center called Evenglow Lodge. Trent Dunlop, PT, MPT, joined Infinity Rehab in November 2015 as a physical therapist at Salem Transitional Care in Salem, OR.  He has nearly twenty years of experience from across three states, which includes roles ranging from front-line clinical care to regional operations management. OTAO Legislative Day: A Productive Day for Occupational Therapy (OT) Advocacy!

Two Infinity Rehab occupational therapists, Christie Ames and Katie Shuler, joined a group of OT practitioners from across Oregon and descended onto Capitol Square in Salem, OR to raise awareness for the OT profession. The OT practitioners in attendance represented a variety of settings including acute care, long-term acute care, skilled nursing, pediatrics, and school-based therapy as they met with their Senate and House Representatives.
