Jennifer Wood, PTA at Avamere Rehab in Beaverton, was recently appointed to the Oregon Physical Therapy Licensing Board by Governor Ted Kulongoski.
Jennifer, an Infinity Rehab team member since 2009, was selected from among a pool of qualified PTA candidates from across the state. She will serve as the only Physical Therapist Assistant on the eight member board.
The Physical Therapist Licensing Board was created in 1971 to regulate the practice of physical therapy in Oregon. The Board’s purpose is public protection and to establish professional standards of practice which assure that physical therapists and physical therapist assistants are properly educated, hold valid/current licenses, practice within their scope of practice and continue to receive ongoing training throughout their careers.
Congratulations, Jennifer! We are excited for your opportunity to serve in such an important role of public service to the physical therapy profession.
