Trent Dunlop, PT, MPT, joined Infinity Rehab in November 2015 as a physical therapist at Salem Transitional Care in Salem, OR.  He has nearly twenty years of experience from across three states, which includes roles ranging from front-line clinical care to regional operations management. He has presented several times at the local and state level on older adult wellness and rehabilitation, and he continues to stay well-versed in the topic through extensive ongoing education.
Trent has met all of the criteria to advance through Infinity Rehab’s Clinical Ladder program to Level II – Clinical Specialist. The purpose of the Clinical Ladder program is to give Infinity Rehab therapists the opportunity to gain recognition and responsibility that is proportionate with their advanced clinical practice.
Trent has clearly established himself as a clinical leader at Salem Transitional Care during the short time since he joined the team. He has cultivated a relationship with Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics and developed a protocol for evaluating and fitting AFOs ahead of discharge.  He has networked with American Seating and Mobility and NuMotion to create a wheelchair prescription and fitting clinic for patients to be evaluated and properly fitted with needed equipment prior to discharge. Trent also recently explored the pros and cons of 10-hour shift in the rehab department and proposed an alternate staffing model to better serve the facility.
Trent’s work with his patients and coworkers earns high praise from his peers.  “Trent is promoting a higher standard of expectation in our clinic and providing support to allow therapists to meet those expectations. He is a relationship builder and an important part of the fun team we have,” says Marcia Ivie, OTR/L, and Senior Director of Rehab for Infinity Rehab.
Cheryl LaCombe-Anderson, Administrator at Salem Transitional Care, adds, “Trent is extremely pleasant, very articulate and keenly aware of the physical therapy needs of the patients he works with.  Families are complimentary of the time that their family member spends with Trent in the rehab gym and throughout the facility.  He is someone who goes above and beyond to help in any way possible to support the transition from our environment to home.”
Thank you, Trent, for bringing your clinical expertise to the clients you serve.  Infinity is excited you choose to apply your expertise as part of our growing team of top-level clinicians.  We are happy and honored to have you on our team at Infinity Rehab!
