WILSONVILLE, Ore. – JoLynn Munro, OT, was appointed the new Division President of Infinity Rehab.
Munro has been with the company since 2007, lending her talents as Area Rehab Director, Regional Vice President of Operations, and today as Division President. She has also served as a leadership coach for the Infinity Rehab Leadership Academy where she influenced aspiring leaders in the organization, leading them through experiential learning and project implementation to achieve professional leadership skills.
After earning her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Washington University in 1990, she developed a passion for medication management and has spoken about this topic and many others in several conferences, including the American Occupational Therapy Association, Leading Age Washington, and Washington Healthcare Association conferences.
One of the upcoming challenges she will face in her new role is the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM), a new reimbursement system that focuses on value-based care rather than therapy session minutes.
Munro feels ready to face this change because of her experience as an Area Rehab Director where she managed a team through the Prospective Payment System (PPS) transition.
“That was a huge learning experience and successfully navigating it was challenging,” Munro said. “It shaped how I looked at leadership and managing through tough times.”
In addition to the PPS transition experience, Munro has confidence in her team, which is why she feels optimistic about the future.
“I have great confidence in the system, the people, and the product that we have put together,” Munro said. “We will become stronger through this change.”
Munro looks forward to leading the organization through the PDPM change with exceptional team members at her side.
“I am excited to be leading the employees of Infinity because I believe they are the most amazing individuals of any company I’ve ever worked with,” Munro said. “I can’t wait to get out there and hear their concerns, their fears, their successes, and their solutions to challenges we face today.”
