Each May, Better Hearing & Speech Month (BHSM) provides an opportunity to raise awareness about communication disorders and the role of Speech-Language Pathologists in providing life-altering treatment. For 2017, the theme is “Communication: The Key to Connection.” In this theme, we wanted to share stories from team members about our Speech-Language Pathologists and the vital role they play in helping individuals regain or develop independence and comfort. Infinity Rehab Therapist Champions Telehealth Proposal

  On November 15, 2013, the Washington State Board of Hearing and Speech voted unanimously in support of a proposal to allow telehealth supervision of Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) during their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Angie Quesnell, SLP and Regional SLP Mentor for Infinity Rehab, submitted and championed the proposal through the process. Telehealth is the use of videoconferencing and telecommunications to support long-distance clinical care for patients or, in this case, other therapists. Infinity Rehab Re-Approved as ASHA Continuing Education Provider

January 9, 2013 -—  The Continuing Education Board (CEB) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) recognized Infinity Rehab on January 9, 2013 by re-approving them for an additional five years as an ASHA Approved Continuing Education (CE) Provider. ASHA Approved CE Providers are approved to offer ASHA Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for the courses they offer to audiologists and speech-language pathologists.
