Leadership and Vision

Leadership Academy definitely helped me grow and become a leader for my team, my facility and for Infinity Rehab.  It has given me the tools to continue to grow my leadership skills beyond the classroom and to help others grow as leaders, clinicians and innovators.  I have learned about our values as individuals and teams and how they tie in with not only the company vision but our own visions for various projects. The development of a vision helps guide us, excite us and engage us to reach the vision’s goal.  I learned about leadership techniques and communication styles and … Continue reading

A Bold Vision for a Bold Future

Our vision statement contains some very bold and daring words. We have crafted these words to paint a picture of the future and the actions we are taking to turn this future into a reality. Many in our industry would not have the courage to put the pen to paper and formally commit to these ambitious goals. These goals go to the core of who we are as an organization. This past holiday, my mother was coming to visit, however, she developed pneumonia right before she was to arrive and was hospitalized. This change of events was very sudden and … Continue reading

What’s on the Horizon for 2017?

niels-bohr

“Predictions are hard, especially about the future.” Niels Bohr Nobel Laureate in Physics   Some would call it foolish to try to predict how the Trump administration and the 115th Congress will shape health care in 2017, but here it goes anyway! I think it is safe to assume that value-based payment is likely to survive, but it may look different in terms of structure. The HHS secretary-nominee, Dr. Tom Price, is not a fan of mandatory initiatives, such as the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) bundled payment program which began in April last year. The CMS Innovation Center … Continue reading

Why the Infinity Rehab Vision Inspires Me

vision-spingboard-header

I love our new vision statement!  In just two sentences, the vision captures what we are about, where we are headed, and how we will get there.  I’d like to focus on a few aspects of the vision that are particularly meaningful to me. First, unparalleled quality and value.  We have been talking about quality in healthcare for as long as I’ve been in practice, but seldom have I seen the fortitude, commitment, and razor-sharp focus that is required to achieve true quality in outcomes.  Here at Infinity, we have that determination.  Together, we have laid a foundation for … Continue reading

Our People and Our Vision

It is no secret that we believe the key to our long-term business success at Infinity Rehab is to focus on developing our people. The key to accomplishing that goal, however, is more complicated than simply stating our intent. This is where our vision statement comes in. As Mike introduced in the Insider last month, our newly-developed vision provides the guidelines for our path. Today, I would like to propose to you a set of directions to lead us all down this path together.  Your awareness of the plan and your buy-in to participating are critical in reaching our vision.  … Continue reading

CHANGE VISION

Mission and values are enduring and should not change from year to year. Infinity Rehab’s haven’t changed for over 13 years and we have no intention of doing so in the coming years. No matter what is going on in the environment around you, mission and values should always serve as true north to an organization.  However, vision can, and should, change with the times and environmental circumstances.  Going into 2015, I felt that health care reform was at a point that required us to have a unifying statement, or vision, that would adequately capture the urgency of why Infinity … Continue reading
